If I make a list of what I don’t want in a boyfriend, rule it out and then replace it with something positive, and then focus on the ideal boyfriend for me, would I find him?

No, you would not, I’m sorry to say you would not find him. Love finds you. In any real true love relationship I’ve ever seen, love really sneaks up on you, usually when you’re least expecting it, when you’re not even looking for someone. You’ll find them in due time :) But giving yourself a list of exactly what you want will make the process of finding someone that much more difficult. You have to let it happen, you can’t just LOOK for Mr. Right, you’ve gotta let him come to you and surprise you. Trust me, it’ll happen when you least expect it. But writing down exactly what you don’t want is the worst idea because you might love this one great guy and turn him away because of a few flaws that could turn into quirks that make him who he is and that’s the important part. Embrace the flaws, its what make people unique.

I do see results when using the secret but it always seems that what I get isn’t even directly what I have been thinking or sometimes what I think of and focus on doesn’t even make a happen at all.
So what are some tips or techniques that can help me and others when using the secret Law Of Attraction?

Hi Nick,

This is actually quite a COMMON problem when people use the law of attraction. The Law Of Attraction states that what we constantly focus on, we get. However, that’s NOT the full story and there are a number of ADDITIONAL laws besides just the Law Of Attraction we need to understand.
One of the most important other laws is the Law Of Detachment. What it means is in order to successfully attract what we want, we have to be detached from the outcome. So, sometimes when you think that what you got isn’t what you had been focusing on, it’s likely it wasn’t what the universe had intended for you to get(even though you thought it was). There might be something better that the universe has waiting in store for you. Say you were focusing on a new job. When you got a call for an interview and they didn’t end up hiring you, you got disappointed. But, if you go with the Law Of Detachment, you’ll understand that maybe that job would not have been right for you, and that another BETTER job might be on it’s way to you.
It’s been shown that our Subconscious mind is responsible for creating our reality. Our Subconscious is much greater in power than our waking conscious mind. Sometimes our logical mind thinks that we didn’t directly get what we focused on, but we have to be detached and realize that it may have something even better in store.
As far as thinking and focusing on something and it doesn’t happen at all, there are usually 3 main reasons for this. One, maybe what you want isn’t right for you and could cause you problems later, though your waking mind might not realize it. But your Subconscious is holding it back from you. Two, what you want is being wanted by too many other people or is too complicated to manifest. An example of the former is if you were trying to win a sweepstakes contest with a lot of people entering. Everyone focuses on winning the final prize but only ONE person can win. An example of the latter is if you were back 300 years trying to manifest going to the moon. At that time, it would’ve been too complicated a task to accomplish. Those are just some examples.
A third and rarely explained reason why what you focus on doesn’t happen at all, is because you are thinking about it TOO MUCH. The most efficient way to use the Law Of Attraction is to go through the process of focusing on it, and then LET IT GO by completely putting it out of your mind. Far too often, people will think about what they want, and then keep thinking about it all through the day. Truth is, if you’re thinking about what you want all throughout the day, it’s not the correct way. There are periods where you have to take your mind OFF OF IT for your Subconscious mind to do it’s work. Think of it this way. Even a bodybuilder can’t be lifting weights constantly throughout the day. There are periods where he has to let his muscles relax. So even though the law of attraction says what you focus on, you get, that’s true BUT NOT the whole story. You have to utilize the Law Of Detachment and give your waking mind a REST by NOT focusing on what you want too much. Your Subconscious mind controls all your involuntary functions such as breathing, digestion, hair growth, etc………it is actually working on bringing your desire to you at the times when your conscious waking mind is NOT thinking about what you want(even though you don’t see the process).
This is just a short explanation. Space limits me from going into this much deeper.

My name Lily. I am 16 years old. I don’t have a car, and I don’t have a license. My family is going through some really hard financial problems right now, and I try not to let it show on the outside. We really need money right now, and we were going to visit our relatives this Christmas in another country, but my parents might cancel our flight because of the money issue. My mother is very upset, and my dad, well, he gets angry when he’s upset. I would really like to attract some money by Christmas Eve, I don’t know how I’ll do it., because there’s no possible way for me to recieve this money… I would really like to surprise them with a lot of money. When I saw a lot, I mean A LOT. So please, can someone explain to me what I should do? I have five days left..

Dear Lily,
I must disagree with one of the answers you received. There is such a thing as the the law of attraction, among many Universal Laws. just because someone doesn’t understand them, does not mean they do not exist. It would be like us stating that we do not believe in the law of gravity.
One key for a suggestion, is that what ever you place your focus on will manifest. There are only two major thought patterns which all thought comes or stems from either LOVE or FEAR. Worry never helps anyone, it makes things worse! This could be a blessing in disguise! Please have your parents take a few deep breaths and focus on the things that are good in their life. This is a tool to help change the neg. thought patterns.
I would recommend the book ”Want Not and be Open to Receive by Shadow Fox. Publish America

personally i believe it works, even though i am in the worst time of my life, but i get what she says.

it is not denial, it is i think of the future and the future will be a reality kind of deal,

like i know right now my life sucks, but im being positive that in the near future what i need and want will come, and be.

so, u don’t focus and let the negatives put you down, but u are focusing in the good stuff that makes u happy and the good stuff are coming.

u don’t deny that they aren’t any bad things, u just don’t focus and be so miserable like it is the end of your life in the bad stuff.

Yeah to an extent. I think it has a lot to do with attitude. It’s obvious a person who is positive will feel good things come his/her way more than a cynical person. If your mind seeks positive feelings it will focus on all the beauty in life.
