The law of attraction is a bunch of crap. Two years ago, my mother was all into it. She would always "speak and write thoughts into the universe" like saying she wanted our family to always be safe and protected from harm. Sure enough after countless months of her saying this I was a passenger in a severe car accident which left me paralyzed from the waist down.
The moral to this story is: you cannot speak into existence or nonexistence the inevitable. Because the author of the book knows that most people don’t have a mind of their own, it is easy to brainwash and manipulate individuals into believing the most ridiculous things all in the name of making a profit. Don’t believe the hype.
Also…if the law of attraction were really real…how many people eat, breath, and sleep the thought of being rich and/or famous? With that said…why aren’t we all rich and/or famous, if thinking and speaking it "supposedly" attracts these things to a person? Again…don’t believe the hype.
Anybody that knows of the universal principles and applying them to attract what you desire, well anyone got any examples of experiences they’ve had with it? Also, any signs you’ve asked for and recieved that could no way have been coincedence? would love to hear about it xxx

The "secret" is that we reap as we sow. Not much of a secret as Buddhists and Hindus have been using karma for millenia and those in the Abrahamic religions have been using it for nearly as long.
I’m an avid believer in the ideas of new thought and the law of attraction. However, I’m also involved in social work with those in poverty. Knowing how the law of attraction works, how can I avoid bringing in MORE poverty which is what I’m trying to prevent. Keep in mind I will be working with those in poverty regardless. How can I make it work for instead of against me in my career?
Keep in mind that the most successful and abundant people in the world donate their time, money and energy working in some of the poorest countries in the world. These people include, Oprah Winfrey, Madonna, Natalie Portman, Brad Pit and Angelina Joie.
Even though they surround themselves in poverty and lack they manage to create and manifest even more abundance.
Being surrounded by others who are poor does not have to make or keep you poor.
The root of poverty is caused by believing poverty thoughts like: I can’t, life is too hard, I am supposed to be poor, what’s the point, I can’t make it, this is how my life is supposed to be, there is no hope for me, life will not get better from me, I don’t know how, I can’t learn how, why even try, and there are no opportunities for me.
Discover how these poverty thoughts create poverty by asking yourself and answering the following questions? How do you feel when you believe these thoughts? What kinds of things do you do when you believe these thoughts? How do you treat others when you believe these thoughts? How do others treat you? What events and circumstances does the universe line up for you when you believe these thoughts?
Even though you might be surrounded by poverty day in and day out that doesn’t mean that anyone can force you to believe poverty thoughts.
You can choose to think and believe abundant thoughts like: I can do this, there are opportunities for me, I am willing to look for opportunities to better myself, there are people who care about me and are willing to help me, I can learn, I am willing to do what it takes to reach my goals, what can I try differently, who can I ask, life is worth it, I am worth it, I can take one step at a time to create what I want, I can do what it takes to achieve my goals, life does support me, and I am loved and appreciated.
What does believing these abundant thoughts create for you? How do you feel when you believe these thoughts? What kinds of things do you do when you believe these thoughts? How do you treat others when you believe these thoughts? How do others respond to you? What events and circumstances does the universe line up for you when you believe these thoughts? Do you like what you create when you believe these thoughts?
You can influence others who think poor to believe abundant thoughts
There will be times when you will hear someone speak a poverty thought like, “I can’t do this, it is too difficult” and you can respond gently with an abundant thought like, “yes, it may be difficult but I am willing to help you and we can do this together”. Responding and influencing others with abundant thoughts will not only reinforce your own belief in abundance but it may help your clients gradually see that the world can be a friendly place to live in.
So if others are reacting to us, and they are reacting from others

I’m looking at the big picture here, I am not stating the law of attraction IS real, I’m just relating it to the relations between things in this case humans(which is exactly what philosophy IS!) because thats how we learn, we relate and COMPARE.
My question isn’t written in stone, it is a very rough idea, but everyone here is obviously too stuck on details to acknowledge what I’m trying to achieve here, which is to learn and discern. @Future: My comment to Miss me was actually sarcasm, as I felt she was limiting what philosophy is.
Put your training wheels back on immediately. Your brain is not ready to go outside unsupervised.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading on this type of thing lately, and I was wondering if anyone has had any success in attracting the things they want into their lives simply by utilizing positive thinking?

Positive thinking is only a PART of the law of attraction manifestation process. There is a whole step by step scientific process to making the law of attraction work. The problem is most people NEVER learn the whole process. All books (including The Secret) out there seem to give bits of info here and there. Some give too much information, not enough or, are so hard to understand that people are never able to apply any of the information they learn.
If the law of attraction isn’t entirely working for you, you probably don’t have all the information you need as well as explained to you in a manner in which you can understand and APPLY it.

Law of Attraction is :used widely by New Thought writers, refers to the idea that thoughts influence chance. Questions such as ‘Do you believe in the Law Of Attraction?’ Is the Law Of Attraction real? Does the Law Of Attraction really work? Does it really exist? Is there any scientific basis to it?
These same questions are being asked AT LEAST once every other day both in Yahoo and all over the internet. There are many people who are quick to say it’s a ‘scam’ and label it B.S., rubbish, pseudoscience, a sham religion, etc………. others say it’s real without giving a detailed explanation.
Let’s put this issue to rest. The Law Of Attraction exists and is REAL. It has been around since the beginning of time, just like gravity. Everyone believes in gravity and no one questions it because gravity’s effects are IMMEDIATE. If you jump out of a five story building, you’ll fall down in no time.
People have a hard time accepting the Law Of Attraction because UNLIKE gravity, there’s always a TIME DELAY associated with it.Your thoughts and emotions are INVISIBLE waves of energy, similar to radio waves. These invisible waves of energy take TIME to manifest into actual physical reality we can see with our eyes. When people think and feel a negative thought today and something bad happens to them days later, they don’t associate the thought as having caused the effect.
The great electrical scientists such as Edison, Tesla, and Marconi all believed that thoughts could move through the air. They were certain that thoughts could affect things if the they are strong and clear. The noted astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington said it was NOT impossible that the physical laws of the universe could be made subject to human thought. And quantum physics doesn’t rule it out either.
Nobel Prize Winner Werner Heisenberg, one of the pioneers of modern quantum physics, said, "Consciousness can shape reality."
The Secret was a well made movie. However, the Law Of Attraction is more complicated than what the movie teaches. There is MUCH more to the whole manifesting process. The movie should have made that clear, but it did NOT. When people who tried to follow what the movie taught and it didn’t work for them, they started to have doubts and began to think it isn’t real. The people and critics who were skeptical from the beginning were quick to say it’s not real and is a scam or pseudoscience.
(That is part of the problem. The other problem is that many books out there teaching the Law Of Attraction are INCOMPLETE and are more motivational than anything else. Also, they present the information in such a manner that the average person has a hard time putting the information into practical use to get some real results.)
Again, the Law Of Attraction is VERY real but people need to study MUCH MORE into it besides just watching The Secret. You can’t understand Aerospace Engineering math by just learning basic algebra. You need to go further into higher levels of math such as differential equations and advanced calculus. In order to really understand the true nature of the Law Of Attraction, one needs to study MUCH more into it. Is it no surprise that almost every teacher featured in the secret has their OWN specialized course on the Law Of Attraction?
The popular statement: "Whatever you spend your time and energy focusing on will eventually come to you" is true, BUT NOT THE FULL STORY. It is an oversimplification. You can’t teach someone to bake a special cake by only telling them to ‘get the right ingredients’. You need to go into the specifics such as which ingredients, how to properly mix, the right baking temperature, etc…..If even ONE step along the way isn’t done correctly, the outcome will not be favorable.
So, it’s NOT only about thinking what you want all the time and it appears right in front of you.

It is anyone that refuses salvation from JESUS, that is sent to hell.
Heaven and hell depends only on whether you believed in JESUS for His free gift of salvation, or not. There is no second chance to be saved, after death.
Heaven is eternal joy with the Lord!
The lake of fire is eternal separation from God, eternal torment, and eternal corruption. Nobody has to be sent to the lake of fire.
So to be in heaven and not in hell, believe in Jesus for salvation RIGHT NOW!

The truth about Jesus is that the only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to hell, is by believing in JESUS for His free gift of eternal life in heaven, believing in faith alone that Jesus, who is God, died on the cross for all our sins as FULL PAYMENT for all our sins, and then Jesus rose from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe in Jesus for His free gift of salvation, and you will be in heaven, no matter what!
Salvation is a FREE GIFT that happens in a split second when you believe in JESUS for His free gift of salvation! It is impossible to lose or "leave" salvation (John 6:39-40, John 10:28, 1 John 5:13).
Please pray now: "Jesus, I believe that You died on the cross to pay for my sins and that You rose from the dead, and I thank You for eternal life!" You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die!

well by experience let me tell you that to do that the first thing you need to do is stop thinking about it and start doing something coz thinking of it wastes time and speak boldly calmly accept things as they are even if it frustrates you coz doing so you will avoid frustration and think , increase your knowledge in all aspects through any source but dont compete or hurt anyone just concentrate on your work eventually you will find yourself loved by many and if you keep it up you will be rich in the process it is important that you focus and not be bothered by other’s hindering you or their bragging coz if someone’s bullying you it means your one step ahead. ALL THIS MAY SIMPLE CHILDISH WHATEVER YOU THINK BUT THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO GET RICH AND BE LOVED BUT IT SHOWS YOU THE WAY and dont think people come to you for money like you true fans get entranced by your character not money watch out for those who want money
